Job Title: Bioinformatics Pipeline Lead / Team Lead

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Bioinformatics Pipeline Lead / Team Lead to design, maintain, validate, and scale clinical-grade bioinformatics workflows across oncology genomics, transcriptomics, methylation, and related molecular diagnostic applications. The role requires strong technical ownership of production pipelines, robust QC and validation practices, and close collaboration with wet-lab, clinical, and quality teams.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end bioinformatics pipelines for clinical and research-grade NGS workflows.
- Lead validation, performance monitoring, and continual improvement of pipelines.
- Support somatic variant analysis, fusion detection, CNV calling, MSI analysis, RNA-seq/transcriptomics, and methylation workflows.
- Build automation for data processing, QC reporting, and routine analysis.
- Ensure reproducibility, traceability, and version control across tools, parameters, and reference datasets.
- Troubleshot pipeline and data-quality issues with wet-lab and clinical stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior bioinformatics team members.
- Contribute to documentation, SOPs, and audit-ready technical records.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Bioinformatics, Genetics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in bioinformatics, preferably in clinical diagnostics or oncology.
- Hands-on experience with NGS data analysis, pipeline development, and workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of QC, reproducibility, validation, and version control.
- Demonstrated leadership or team management experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with genomic, transcriptomics, RNA-seq, DNA methylation, and multi-omics analysis.
- Familiarity with somatic variant interpretation, annotation, and reporting workflows.
- Experience with workflow managers, containerization, and reproducible computing.
- Exposure to regulated laboratory environments and clinical documentation practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across technical and clinical teams.
