Job Description: Fractional HR Advisor
We are seeking an experienced Fractional HR Advisor / Fractional HR Head with 15+ years of manufacturing industry experience to provide strategic HR guidance and advisory support on a flexible, part-time basis.
The role will support leadership in HR strategy, workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, HR process improvement, and organizational development while strengthening overall HR effectiveness.
Job Description / Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic HR advisor to business owners, senior management, and department heads.
- Provide ongoing HR leadership and guidance without the requirement of a full-time in-house HR Head.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Review, establish, and improve HR policies, procedures, SOPs, and employee guidelines.
- Advise management on workforce planning, manpower optimization, organizational structure, and talent requirements.
- Support manufacturing operations with effective plant HR practices and employee management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, statutory regulations, and industrial relations requirements.
- Guide management on employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
- Support recruitment strategies for production, engineering, technical, managerial, and corporate positions.
- Develop performance management systems, appraisal processes, and employee development frameworks.
- Improve employee engagement, retention strategies, and workplace culture.
- Conduct HR audits and identify areas for process improvement.
- Establish HR dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
- Provide guidance on compensation structures, benefits, rewards, and retention programs.
- Mentor existing HR team members and enhance internal HR capabilities.
- Support organizational change initiatives, restructuring, and business expansion activities.
- Conduct periodic on-site visits to manufacturing facilities for HR reviews, employee interactions, and leadership discussions.
- Partner with leadership teams to resolve people-related challenges and improve organizational effectiveness.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the manufacturing, engineering, automotive, fabrication, or industrial sectors.
- Strong experience in plant HR management, industrial relations, labor laws, and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience advising senior management and business owners on HR matters.
- Experience in developing HR systems, policies, and processes from the ground up.
- Exposure to managing workforce challenges in manufacturing environments.
- Experience handling multi-level employees, including shop floor workforce, supervisors, and management teams.
Mandatory Requirements
- 15+ years of manufacturing industry HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Relations, labor compliance, and plant HR operations.
- Ability to independently advise and support senior management.
