We are seeking an experienced and growth-driven General Manager – Sales to lead Eaton’s Power Distribution - Gujarat business in the assigned territory (Gujarat). This role requires strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive revenue, profitability, customer engagement, and market development. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional relationship-building capabilities and a strong understanding of the electrical solutions market.
1. Revenue & Gross Margin Leadership
Lead the region’s revenue, profit, and growth objectives, consistently exceeding targets.
Develop and drive regional strategic account plans to ensure sustainable, long-term business growth.
Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning for the entire region.
2. Market Share Expansion
Strengthen Eaton’s market dominance across the region by increasing penetration in priority segments.
Identify high-potential markets, emerging opportunities, and competitive gaps to drive strategic expansion.
Build and execute regional strategies to enhance competitiveness and capture new market share.
3. Strategic Key Account Management
Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with regional key accounts, major consultants, and critical decision makers.
Act as a senior-level trusted advisor, providing consultative guidance and value-driven solutions to customers.
Drive customer retention and ensure exceptional customer experience across the region.
4. Receivables & Commercial Governance
Ensure financial discipline across the region by managing account receivables and driving timely collections.
Enforce compliance to pricing policies, commercial terms, and organizational frameworks.
Collaborate with finance, operations, and other teams to ensure smooth order execution.
5. Business Development & Regional Segment Expansion
Identify and develop new accounts, industry segments, and emerging applications for Eaton solutions.
Expand customer base and drive deeper penetration in the Power Distribution segment and other focus verticals.
Seed Eaton’s solutions early in the decision cycle by influencing consultants, specifiers, and key stakeholders.
Champion new business models, upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the region.
6. Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel 50%–60% across the region for customer visits, partner interactions, and market development initiatives.
7. Business Analytics & Market Intelligence
Maintain strong regional market intelligence—competition strategies, customer behavior, pricing dynamics, and emerging technologies.
Analyze insights and translate them into strategic recommendations for regional business planning.
Present data-backed action plans and business updates to leadership at regular intervals.
8. Marketing & Promotion Leadership
Identify regional promotional opportunities aligned with business goals.
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to execute targeted regional campaigns, seminars, and digital initiatives.
Enhance brand visibility and strengthen Eaton’s positioning as a leader in power quality solutions.
9. Regional Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and empower a regional sales team to drive high performance and accountability.
Ensure team members deliver on KPIs including revenue, market share, funnel management, and partner engagement.
