Syrus Pharmacy, Iritty is looking for a qualified and responsible Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The candidate will be responsible for accurate dispensing, prescription verification, stock management, patient support, and maintaining proper pharmacy documentation and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately against valid prescriptions.
- Verify medicine name, strength, dosage, quantity, expiry date, and batch details before dispensing.
- Review prescriptions and clarify any medication-related concerns with the concerned healthcare professional.
- Provide patients with clear instructions regarding dosage, timing, administration, and storage of medicines.
- Maintain proper records of medicines, sales, stock movement, and other required pharmacy documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment of medicines.
- Check expiry dates regularly and follow proper procedures for near-expiry and expired medicines.
- Ensure medicines are stored under appropriate temperature, humidity, and storage conditions.
- Maintain proper handling of refrigerated and temperature-sensitive medicines.
- Support proper inventory control and minimize stock shortages and wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and discipline within the pharmacy.
- Follow applicable pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Handle billing and pharmacy software accurately, where applicable.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, pharmacy staff, and other departments when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription-related information.
- Assist with audits, stock verification, and documentation as required by management.
- Perform other pharmacy-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Qualifications
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid Pharmacy Council Registration is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital, retail, or healthcare pharmacy will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered based on suitability.
