Dr. P. Namperumalsamy Regional Research Centre (PNRRC), Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore, invites applications from highly motivated and qualified candidates for the following position under the VELUX-funded project “ARIDE-CAP: Strengthening Clinical, Molecular, and Computational Research Capacity for Inherited Retinal Diseases in India (Aravind Registry for Inherited Diseases of the Eye – Capacity Building Program)”
Lead Research Coordinator – 1 Position
- Qualifications: PhD in Life Sciences / MSc in Genetic Counselling / MSc in Human or Medical Genetics with genetic counselling training (BGCI certificate or equivalence). Candidates with an MSc in Life Sciences and at least 5 years of experience in clinical genetic counselling (preferably in ophthalmology) may also apply.
- Key Responsibilities: Genetic counselling, informed consent, project coordination across Aravind centres, supervision of research associates, liaison with sequencing laboratories, and contribution to scientific publications.
- Required Skills: Clinical genetic counselling, variant interpretation, pedigree analysis, team coordination, staff training, and scientific writing.
Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000/ month (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)
