- Deep hands-on expertise in at least two of the following areas: Linux, storage systems, or parallel file systems.
- Strong systems programming skills with C; experience with Go is an advantage.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Linux kernel code, including kernel modules and I/O-related subsystems.
- Deep understanding of the Linux I/O path, memory management, scheduling, and their impact on storage performance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across storage layers, drivers, kernel components, and infrastructure services.
- Experience with storage technologies such as OpenLustre, Ceph, BeeGFS, ZFS, NFS, Samba, or similar solutions.
- Understanding of SCSI standards and the Linux storage ecosystem, including SCST, LIO, and the Linux SCSI subsystem.
- Experience with performance engineering, profiling, benchmarking, and optimization of storage stacks.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, including independently deploying and troubleshooting services in a cluster environment; understanding of etcd, kubelet, CRI, CNI, CSI, controllers, and operators, or experience building CSI drivers or custom Kubernetes distributions, is an advantage.
- Design, develop, and maintain storage management services for enterprise storage platforms.
- Build and enhance functionality across the Linux storage stack, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and troubleshoot low-level software components, including kernel-level integrations and storage-related subsystems.
- Support and improve storage services operating within Kubernetes environments.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues across storage layers, filesystems, drivers, and infrastructure components.
- Optimize system performance through profiling, benchmarking, and performance analysis.
- Contribute to the integration and operation of distributed and parallel storage solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure storage services meet operational, reliability, and performance requirements.
