Niyatee IAS Academy is a newly launching coaching institution dedicated to preparing students for UPSC Civil Services examinations. The academy will provide expert guidance, experienced faculty, quality study materials, regular assessments, and personalized mentorship. Our aim is to create a supportive learning environment that helps aspirants build knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills, empowering them to achieve their career goals and serve society with excellence.
Job Summary
The Academic Head will be responsible for leading the overall academic, operational, and institutional growth of Niyatee IAS Academy. The role involves driving academic excellence, faculty management, curriculum development, student enrollment, lead generation, brand building, and day-to-day academy operations. The Academic Head will play a strategic role in building the academy from the ground up while ensuring high-quality education, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall academic functioning of the academy.
- Develop and implement academic strategies aligned with UPSC and OPSC examination patterns.
- Build a culture of academic excellence, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
- Drive innovation in teaching methodologies and academic practices.
- Design and oversee Foundation, Prelims, Mains, Interview Guidance, and Optional Subject programmes.
- Develop annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily academic plans.
- Prepare academic calendars, class schedules, and teaching plans.
- Ensure timely completion of the syllabus.
- Integrate current affairs with static subjects.
- Continuously review and update the curriculum based on UPSC trends.
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain high-quality faculty members.
- Conduct faculty training and professional development programmes.
- Monitor classroom delivery through regular observations and reviews.
- Evaluate faculty performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Allocate subjects, schedules, and workload effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve student enrollment targets.
- Support the admissions team in counselling prospective students and parents.
- Conduct seminars, orientation programmes, and counselling sessions.
- Improve admission conversion through academic presentations and guidance.
- Monitor enrollment trends and recommend corrective strategies.
- Conduct career guidance sessions, seminars, workshops, and awareness programmes.
- Generate quality admission leads through institutional collaborations.
- Develop relationships with principals, directors, and academic leaders.
- Build the Niyatee IAS Academy brand from scratch.
- Position the academy as a leading UPSC coaching institute.
- Develop strategies to enhance brand visibility and institutional credibility.
- Represent the academy at educational fairs, seminars, conferences, and networking events.
- Support expansion initiatives, new programme launches, and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the academy.
- Ensure smooth coordination among Academic, Admissions, HR, Marketing, Administration, Finance, and Student Support teams.
- Manage classroom scheduling, faculty allocation, examinations, and student services.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor student progress and learning outcomes.
- Conduct performance review meetings and mentoring sessions.
- Develop improvement plans for students requiring academic support.
- Ensure a high-quality mentoring and guidance system.
- Supervise the preparation of notes, handbooks, question banks, model answers, and current affairs material.
- Review and approve all academic content before publication.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with UPSC standards.
- Encourage continuous content improvement based on examination trends.
- Plan and oversee seminars, workshops, orientation programmes, guest lectures, and academic events.
- Coordinate academic activities with faculty and external experts.
- Promote student participation in academic and personality development initiatives.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly academic and operational reports.
- Present performance reports and strategic recommendations to the management.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. from a recognized university.
- 5–7 years of experience in academic leadership, educational management, or coaching institute administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UPSC/OPSC coaching or the education sector.
- Proven experience in faculty management, curriculum development, student enrollment, institutional outreach, and academic operations.
