Job Summary:
We are looking for Data Governance Expert who will be responsible for the hands-on technical implementation of the Data Program, covering both data governance and data quality. The role delivers the technical backbone of governance and quality - profiling, DQ rules, cleansing, classification, cataloguing, lineage and master / reference data. The role carries a strong data-engineering capability and can be repurposed to related data-engineering tasks, but its core focus remains Data Governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven, hands-on experience in data governance and data quality – data profiling, DQ assessment and issue resolution in enterprise environments,with a technical delivery focus.
- Delivering the combined data governance and data quality workstream, and able to flex to related data-engineering tasks while keeping data governance as the core.
- Regular updates to the Data Governance Lead and participation in the governance cadence remotely, with close coordination with the Data Foundation team on pipeline issues and fixes.
- Active hands-on management of Microsoft Purview, OneLake Catalog,Microsoft Fabric and Attaccama ONE for governance, profiling and data quality operations.
- Timely, accurate delivery of technical deliverables, DQ reports and Power BI dashboards, with comprehensive documentation of configurations,profiling and the cleansing backlog.
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric (lakehouse,pipelines, notebooks) and Attaccama ONE for profiling, DQ rules and MDM / RDM.
- Strong data-engineering skills - SQL, advanced Python / PySpark, datapipelines, ADLS and OneLake, and the medallion architecture.
- Skilled in DQ rule design, cleansing backlog management, DQ scorecards /dashboards in Power BI, data and document classification, and sensitive /PII handling (RLS, CLS, masking; UAE PDPL, GDPR, EDP-STD-002).
- Organized and self-motivated with strong remote communication.
Qualification and Role Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience across data governance, data quality / data profiling, data management or data engineering in enterprise environments, with hands-on technical delivery.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric and Attaccama ONE for governance, profiling and data-quality processes.
- Advanced Python / PySpark scripting for distributed data profiling; strong understanding of the medallion architecture and building DQ scorecards / dashboards in Power BI.
- Certified or advanced experience in Attaccama ONE, including MDM and RDM configuration (golden records, entity matching, survivorship).
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as UAE PDPL, GDPR and EDP-STD-002; experience delivering in an offshore / remote model.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP or other large-scale data sources, and professional experience in BPO, financial services or governmental organizations, is an added advantage.
