Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cutting Master to join our production team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in measurement, drawing interpretation, design understanding, and fabric/material cutting. The role requires precision, planning, and the ability to ensure maximum material utilization while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings, patterns, and design specifications accurately.
- Take precise measurements and prepare cutting layouts as per production requirements.
- Perform accurate cutting of materials while minimizing wastage.
- Ensure all cut components meet the required dimensions and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Design, Production, and Quality teams to understand product specifications.
- Verify measurements before and after cutting to avoid production errors.
- Maintain cutting tools, machines, and equipment in good working condition.
- Plan cutting sequences to improve productivity and optimize material usage.
- Identify and resolve cutting or measurement-related issues during production.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and dimensional accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and design specifications.
- Experience in manual and machine cutting processes.
- Good understanding of material utilization and wastage control.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
- Basic mathematical and calculation skills.
- Ability to work independently and under production deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Certification in pattern making or cutting (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Cutting Master or in a similar production/manufacturing role.
- Experience in industries such as packaging, printing, textiles, leather, furniture, or manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
