Koch Capabilities India is seeking a proactive and business-oriented HR Generalist - Performance Management & HRBP Support to partner closely with the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team. This role plays a critical part in supporting fair, consistent, and principle-based people practices by managing employee performance and behavioral matters, supporting employee relations activities, and helping leaders build a positive and high-performing work environment.
You will work across functions to support organizational priorities related to talent, leadership effectiveness, and employee development, while balancing both employee experience and business needs.
Our Team
You will be part of the HRBP support team within Koch Capabilities India, working in close collaboration with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations (ER), and HR Compliance teams. The team partners with leaders and employees across businesses to enable strong leadership capability, sound people decisions, and a culture of mutual respect and accountability.
What You Will Do
- Support HR Business Partners in managing employee performance cases across multiple functions and teams.
- Coach and guide people leaders on performance management processes, effective feedback, difficult conversations, and documentation requirements, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Track performance cases to ensure timely action plans, progress reviews, and appropriate closure.
- Manage employee relations matters such as workplace conflicts, behavioral concerns, misconduct reviews, and policy-related issues.
- Conduct formal investigations, including fact-finding discussions, and maintain clear, accurate, and confidential documentation.
- Partner with Employee Relations and HR Compliance teams to draft and issue show-cause notices, warning letters, and support disciplinary actions, including terminations, as required.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of company policies, values, and workplace expectations.
- Support broader HRBP responsibilities, including leader partnership, talent discussions, employee development initiatives, organizational effectiveness efforts, and HR process execution.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in HR Generalist, Employee Relations, and/or HR Business Partner support roles.
- Solid understanding of performance management, employee relations practices, and workplace conduct standards.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence leaders across levels and functions.
- Strong judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capability.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience supporting complex performance and employee relations cases in a fast-paced or matrixed environment.
- Exposure to investigations, disciplinary processes, and policy interpretation in India-based organizations.
- Experience working closely with HR Business Partners and Employee Relations teams to drive consistent people practices.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance employee experience and organizational priorities.
- Familiarity with HR systems and case-tracking mechanisms.
