Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fabrication Supervisor (Fresher) to oversee daily fabrication activities, ensure production targets are met, and maintain quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of fabrication processes, welding, engineering drawings, and shop floor operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily fabrication activities on the shop floor.
- Monitor production progress and ensure work is completed as per schedule.
- Coordinate with welders, fitters, and production teams.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and inspection requirements.
- Maintain workplace safety and enforce the use of PPE.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Prepare daily production reports and update supervisors on progress.
- Assist in resolving minor production and quality issues.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper housekeeping in the fabrication area.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma Mechanical Engineering,
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Internship or project experience in fabrication/manufacturing is an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of fabrication, welding, and metal processing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Understanding of measuring instruments (Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Measuring Tape, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving ability and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of quality and safety practices.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Welding processes (MIG, TIG, Arc Welding).
- Fabrication equipment and tools.
- 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- ISO quality standards (basic awareness).
