Our imports are mainly in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Import Logistics Manager with a minimum of 10 years of specialized experience handling bulk imports of petrochemicals and solvents. You will take end-to-end ownership of all import related logistics, including customs clearance and inventory management ensuring cost-effective and timely cargo movement to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Import Logistics: Manage end-to-end import operations for bulk vessels. Coordinate import documentation with global suppliers, Indian terminals and agencies arranging smooth and timely discharge of cargo on arrival so as to minimise demurrage.
- Customs Clearance: Oversee the entire clearance process from purchase to sale to end users. Oversee all import related documentation and manage the filing of Bills of Entry and ensure customers are well updated on their clearances.
- Liaison & Compliance: Maintain professional liaisons with Customs, Terminals, Port Trusts and related agencies. Ensure strict compliance with documentation is maintained.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of dedicated experience in importing and clearing liquid chemicals/petrochemicals (preferably within a chemical trading or distribution firm).
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of bulk liquid cargo handling, shore tank operations, ICEGATE procedures.
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills, high-pressure problem-solving capabilities, and excellent professional communication for handling regulatory authorities.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
