Role Summary:
Responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing quality raw materials, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing to support business operations. Oversees the procurement function, supplier relationships, and strategic sourcing initiatives while contributing to key purchasing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Source green pepper and other raw materials from various regions across India, ensuring quality, consistency, and competitive pricing.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers, farmers, and aggregators to strengthen the supply chain.
- Lead procurement activities, including supplier negotiations, contract discussions, and purchase planning.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the procurement division and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supply reliability.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Serve as a key decision-maker for major purchases, vendor selection, and strategic procurement initiatives.
