Position: SPM Machine Assembly Technician
Experience: Fresher / 1–3 Years
Industry: Special Purpose Machine (SPM) / Automation
Location: Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai
Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic freshers and experienced candidates with knowledge of Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The candidate will be responsible for the mechanical assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of SPM machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble SPM machines as per engineering drawings.
- Read and understand mechanical assembly drawings.
- Assemble machine parts, fixtures, pneumatic components, and mechanical systems.
- Perform alignment, fitting, and machine setup.
- Support machine testing and trial runs.
- Identify and resolve assembly-related issues.
- Coordinate with the Design, Electrical, and Production teams.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are followed during assembly.
- Attend customer site installation and machine commissioning when required.
- Maintain tools and ensure a clean work area.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of SPM machines and mechanical assembly.
- Ability to read engineering and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of pneumatics and mechanical components.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel for machine installation and service.
Qualification
- ITI (Fitter/Mechanic) / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Candidate
- Freshers with strong mechanical knowledge are welcome.
- 1–3 years of experience in SPM machine assembly is preferred.
- Experience in machine installation and commissioning is an added advantage.
