WE ARE LOOKING FOT HANDS ON PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR TO SUPPORT DAILY SHOP FLOOR OPERATIONS IN SHEET METAL FABRICATION ENVIRONMENT. THE ROLE INVOLVES MANAGING PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES,COORDINATING MANPOWER,ENSURING QUALITY AND SUPPORT IN ACHIEVING OUTPUT,SAFETY AND DELIVERING TARGETS.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. PRODUCTION AND OPERATION
- Supervise day‑to‑day production activities across fabrication, welding, shearing and bending, or assembly sections.
- Ensure adherence to production plans, shift schedules, and output targets.
- Monitor machine utilization and material flow.
2. Quality & Process Control
- Ensure compliance with quality standards for MS & SS fabrication.
- Conduct in‑process inspections and coordinate with QA for defect analysis.
3. Manpower & Shop‑Floor Management
- Handle a team of 10 operators and technicians.
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure discipline and safety.
- Train operators on SOPs, machine handling, and quality requirements.
4. Technical & System Skills
- Exposure to press shop, welding,shearing and bending machines
- Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication process documents.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems for production entries, material tracking, and reporting.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and 5S practices.
- Report incidents, near misses, and support corrective actions.
Preferred Experience
- Sheet metal, tubular fabrication, or heavy fabrication.
- Exposure to railway components manufacturing (added advantage).
- Knowledge of TIG/MAG welding, robotic welding, or SPM operations.
Education
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or related fields.
