Key Responsibilities
- Donor & Collection Management: Screen donors, perform phlebotomy, and label blood samples accurately.
- Testing & Processing: Perform blood grouping (ABO/Rh), antibody screening, cross-matching, and infectious disease testing.
- Component Preparation: Separate blood into components like plasma, platelets, and red blood cells.
- Storage & Inventory: Monitor blood bank refrigerators and freezers to maintain optimal temperature and ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and perform quality control on laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous records in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma (DMLT) or Bachelor’s degree (BMLT) in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science.
- Certification: Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–5+ years in a laboratory, specifically in blood banking or transfusion services.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, proficiency in phlebotomy, proficiency in LIS, and ability to work in high-stakes environments.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
