How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for timely Procurement deliverables in the PDP/PTP as part of the Outdoor Wireless Networks group and will work closely with Global teams. This role will be based in Verna, Goa site.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Ensuring early supplier involvement in NPI projects to support design-for-manufacturability and cost targets.
- Supporting make-vs-buy decisions and recommending best-fit suppliers for prototype, pilot, and production phases.
- Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on their capabilities, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Developing a strong understanding and knowledge of suppliers and capabilities.
- Monitoring supplier readiness and sourcing milestones to ensure timely availability of materials for each project phase enabling a smooth handover to production sourcing team's post-launch.
- Ensuring proper records and agreement of sourcing decisions, supplier agreements, and part qualification records in collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality and QA.
- Leading vendor qualification, onboarding and documentation processes.
- Supporting cost-saving and localization initiatives under the guidance of sourcing and operations leads.
- Driving improvements in NPI sourcing processes, supplier selection frameworks, and cost optimization strategies.
- Contributing to lessons-learned databases for future NPI cycles.
- Leading and delivering timely cost-effective sourcing solutions to support NPI projects
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with project & operational requirements.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mech Engineering, or equivalent field.
- 8 to 10 years of core experience in Sourcing, Procurement Operations, Supplier Relationship Management with at least 2 to 3 years in NPI or project-based procurement.
- ERP experience is mandatory.
