- Teach Economics to Pre-University students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and board guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and assessments.
- Simplify economic concepts and theories to enhance student understanding and academic performance.
- Conduct regular tests, evaluations, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor and track student progress and maintain academic records.
- Guide students in project work, assignments, and board examination preparation.
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and current affairs awareness among students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and academic planning activities.
- Organize and support seminars, workshops, debates, and other economics-related academic activities.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment in the classroom.
Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree in Economics (M.A. Economics) – Mandatory
- B.Ed. preferred
- NET/SLET qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in PU Colleges, Degree Colleges, or reputed educational institutions.
- Experience in handling Karnataka PU Board syllabus will be preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economic Development, and Statistics for Economics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Ability to explain complex economic concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital teaching platforms.
- Good organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
