Key Responsibilities:
- Edit short-form videos for platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and paid
ads.
- Cut raw footage into tight, polished edits with smooth pacing and social-friendly
transitions.
- Add basic motion graphics, text overlays, captions, and visual enhancements.
- Keep up with platform trends, audio trends, and visual stylesand bring fresh ideas
to the table.
- Optimise videos for multiple aspect ratios and social requirements.
- Assist senior editors with asset organisation, versioning, and project clean-up.
- Use AI and next-gen tools for simple tasks like auto-captioning, quick rough cuts,
and visual enhancements.
Required Skills and Technical Expertise:
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva.
- Basic familiarity with After Effects for simple motion elements.
- Good understanding of vertical video composition, pacing, and social-first editing
styles and presentation.
- Ability to work with trending formatscuts, punch-ins, meme-style edits, sound
based edits, etc.
- Basic exposure to AI tools such as:
Runway ML, Midjourney, Firefly, Heygen, Synthesia, Veed.io, Descript, etc.
- Understanding of colour correction basics, audio clean-up, and export settings for
social platforms.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 2+ years of experience in video editing, specifically with short-form content.
- A showreel that highlights clean cuts, crisp timings, and creative social edits.
- Someone who is curious, proactive, and eager to learn new techniques and tools.
- Comfortable working with feedback and collaborating with senior editors.
- Passion for social platforms and an eye for what performs well in the feed.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Basic sound design skills (SFX placement, leveling, transitions).
