About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Kitchen Manager on behalf of a fast-growing nutrition-focused meal subscription brand. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, controlling inventory, ensuring food quality standards, and driving operational efficiency in a high-volume food production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure smooth functioning.
- Oversee food preparation, production schedules, and dispatch coordination.
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
Team Management & Staff Deployment
- Plan workforce allocation based on production requirements.
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, shifts, and performance.
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of kitchen staff.
- Ensure productivity and discipline within the team.
Production & Operational Planning
- Ensure proper Pre-Rush Preparation (PRP) before service hours.
- Monitor kitchen readiness, ingredient availability, and packaging materials.
- Manage order capacity and workflow during peak operational hours.
- Coordinate with operations and delivery teams for seamless order fulfillment.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Prepare daily and weekly stock indents based on forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels and stock movement.
- Implement stock rotation and storage best practices.
- Control food costs and reduce wastage through effective planning.
Sales & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze sales trends and forecast production requirements.
- Track product demand and coordinate production planning.
- Generate operational reports related to inventory, sales, and kitchen performance.
Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor customer feedback regarding food quality and service.
- Share insights with culinary and production teams.
- Support operational improvements based on customer preferences.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in kitchen operations management.
- Experience in Cloud Kitchens, Restaurants, Catering, or Food Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, food costing, and operational planning.
- Experience handling high-volume food production environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in subscription-based food businesses.
- Knowledge of MIS reporting and sales tracking.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene compliance standards.
