Job Role
We are looking for a Commis Chef to assist in daily kitchen operations and maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing dishes as per standard recipes (SOPs)
- Assisting in mise en place and prep work
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Supporting senior chefs during service
- Ensuring portion control and minimizing wastage
- Handling basic cooking tasks (grilling, sautéing, assembling dishes)
- Following kitchen safety standards
Expectations
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations
- Ability to follow instructions and SOPs strictly
- Good speed and ability to work during rush hours
- Clean working habits and hygiene awareness
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Team player attitude
Preferred Skills
- Experience in café or continental kitchen (preferred but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Familiarity with salads, sandwiches, breakfast, or desserts
