About the Role
XCEL Corp is looking for a Technical Trainer & Project Mentor with hands-on software development experience to train, mentor, and guide freshers through practical software development and real-world projects.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, practical development experience, and the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and practical way.
Key Responsibilities
- Train freshers on programming concepts, software development fundamentals, tools, and coding practices.
- Explain SDLC, software development workflows, Git, debugging, testing, and deployment concepts.
- Guide trainees in understanding project requirements, modules, workflows, and technology stacks.
- Mentor trainees through practical assignments and real-world software development projects.
- Provide technical support and help trainees resolve development issues and blockers.
- Review code, identify technical gaps, and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct technical training sessions, hands-on exercises, and workshops.
- Encourage problem-solving, independent learning, and professional development practices.
- Track trainee progress and provide regular technical feedback.
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience in at least one software development stack is required.
Programming: Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, C++
Frontend: HTML, CSS, React, Angular or similar
Backend: Spring Boot, Node.js, .NET or similar
Database: SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar
Tools: Git, GitHub/GitLab, VS Code/IntelliJ, Jira/Azure DevOps, Postman
Expertise in every technology is not required. Strong practical knowledge of at least one development stack is essential.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of professional experience in software development, software engineering, technical training, or mentoring.
- Strong hands-on software development experience.
- Good understanding of SDLC, OOP, databases, APIs, Git, debugging, and testing.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and in simple language.
- Experience mentoring or training freshers/junior developers is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify technical gaps and provide effective guidance.
- Good understanding of real-world software development projects and workflows.
- Ability to encourage independent problem-solving and continuous learning.
Education
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field is preferred.
