About the Role
Chisel is an alternative school in Chennai. We're looking for a creative Editor who can turn everyday school moments — classroom activities, field trips, projects — into visual content that helps parents see and trust what we do. This is storytelling, not just editing: you'll work with our academic team to understand the "why" behind a moment before cutting it.
Responsibilities
- Edit Reels, short-form videos, and social content from school footage
- Design posters, event creatives, and promotional visuals on-brand
- Shape raw footage into stories with a clear hook and emotional arc
- Add music, transitions, text, and subtitles that serve the story
- Maintain an organised video/photo/design asset library
- Stay current on Reels trends while staying authentic to Chisel's voice
Added advantage: comfort shooting on smartphone/camera, independently capturing footage during live school activities.
Skills Required
- Strong video editing and graphic design skills
- Proven Instagram Reels / short-form content experience
- Good composition, pacing, typography, and storytelling sense
- Able to work independently across two campuses in Nanganallur
- Comfortable turning a loose story brief into polished content
Software: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Canva (any one or more)
Experience: 2+ years preferred. Portfolio/showreel mandatory.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
