Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager – Skill Development Programmes

Job Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to oversee and support the operations of Skill Development Centres across multiple states. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring achievement of project targets, maintaining operational compliance, monitoring centre performance, coordinating with field teams, and providing regular reports to management.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Manage and monitor day-to-day operations of multiple training centres across different states.
- Ensure smooth implementation of skill development projects as per project guidelines and timelines.
- Coordinate with Centre Incharges, Trainers, Mobilizers, Placement Officers, and Regional Teams.
- Ensure availability of infrastructure, training resources, and operational requirements at centres.
- Conduct regular centre reviews and monitor overall centre performance.
Target Monitoring
- Track and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual targets related to:
- Mobilization
- Admissions
- Batch Formation
- Training Delivery
- Assessments
- Certifications
- Placements
- Retention and Tracking
- Follow up with field teams to ensure timely achievement of targets.
- Analyze performance gaps and implement corrective action plans.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports.
- Submit operational updates and performance reports to management.
- Maintain project trackers and dashboards.
- Monitor centre-wise target achievement and productivity reports.
- Ensure accuracy of data reported by centres.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all centres maintain proper documentation and records.
- Monitor compliance with SOPs, project guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Track employee joining formalities, attendance records, and centre documentation.
- Coordinate with Compliance, HR, Finance, and Management teams for operational requirements.
Team Coordination
- Guide and support Centre Incharges and field teams in operational matters.
- Conduct regular review meetings and performance discussions.
- Ensure effective communication between Head Office and field teams.
- Resolve operational issues and escalate critical matters when required.
Monitoring & Field Visits
- Conduct regular centre visits and audits.
- Verify training quality, documentation, attendance, and infrastructure.
- Submit visit reports with observations and recommendations.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented within timelines.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support manpower planning and deployment across centres.
- Coordinate for assessments, certifications, placements, and employer engagement activities.
- Maintain project calendars and monitor milestone completion.
- Assist management in strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Handle any other operational responsibilities assigned by management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in Skill Development, Education, Training, NGO, or Project Operations.
- Proven experience in handling multiple centres across different states.
- Strong command over MIS, reporting, target monitoring, and team coordination.
- Excellent skills in MS Excel, Google Sheets, reporting, and data analysis.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willing to travel extensively for centre monitoring and operational reviews.
