Job Title: Plant Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Plant Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of ETP, STP, RO, MEE, and ZLD plants. The candidate will ensure smooth plant functioning, regulatory compliance, proper maintenance, safety adherence, and optimal performance of wastewater treatment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise overall daily operations of ETP, STP, RO, MEE, and ZLD plants.
- Monitor treatment processes including screening, equalization, aeration, clarification, filtration, RO, evaporation, crystallization, and sludge handling.
- Ensure treated water quality complies with PCB / CPCB / consent standards.
- Conduct and verify regular testing of influent and effluent parameters (pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, Oil & Grease, etc.).
- Maintain laboratory records, logbooks, analysis reports, and operational data.
- Ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain plant documentation including chemical consumption, sludge disposal, and inspection records.
- Coordinate with PCB, CPCB, ISO, and internal audits and ensure closure of observations.
- Plan and supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment such as pumps, blowers, motors, pipelines, valves, and dosing systems.
- Monitor and control chemical dosing systems (lime, alum, polymer, acids, nutrients, antiscalants, etc.).
- Maintain chemical inventory and raise requisitions in advance.
- Ensure safe storage and handling of chemicals as per MSDS and safety guidelines.
- Supervise operators and helpers; manage shift operations effectively.
- Train staff on operations, safety procedures, and emergency handling.
- Monitor sludge management, dewatering, storage, and disposal as per Hazardous Waste Rules.
- Enforce use of PPE and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain housekeeping and plant discipline.
- Optimize power consumption, water recovery, and chemical usage to improve efficiency.
- Suggest process improvements for better performance and cost reduction.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
- Report breakdowns, safety incidents, or non-compliance immediately and take corrective action.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and wastewater treatment safety standards.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned in the interest of the organization.
Eligibility Criteria:
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in ETP/STP/RO/MEE/ZLD plant operations.
Education:
B.Sc., M.Sc., B.E., or M.E.
(Preferred streams: Chemical, Biochemical, Environmental Engineering)
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹420,000.00 per year
