Job Summary
The Resort Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the resort, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and profitability. The role involves managing all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Security, and Recreation, while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort and ensure smooth functioning of all departments.
- Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and resolving guest concerns effectively.
- Monitor and improve resort performance, occupancy, revenue, and profitability.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure seamless operations and achievement of business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest experiences and increase resort revenue.
- Manage departmental budgets, operating costs, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, statutory regulations, and hospitality best practices.
- Monitor resort maintenance, cleanliness, landscaping, and overall property upkeep.
- Lead, motivate, train, and develop team members across all departments.
- Build strong relationships with guests, travel agents, corporate clients, and local stakeholders.
- Oversee special events, group bookings, banquets, and resort activities.
- Prepare operational reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in hotel/resort operations, with at least 5–8 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and overall resort operations.
- Proven experience in team management, budgeting, revenue generation, and guest service excellence.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards, operational controls, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems and MS Office.
