JOB DESCRIPTION :
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, increasing showroom footfall, developing customer relationships, managing institutional and corporate sales opportunities, and ensuring overall business expansion. The role focuses on achieving revenue targets, enhancing customer experience, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the showroom's profitability and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop strategies to increase showroom sales and customer conversion rates.
- Monitor daily sales performance and implement corrective actions when required.
- Identify opportunities to increase average billing value and repeat purchases.
- Drive seasonal and promotional sales campaigns.
2. Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Generate bulk and institutional sales opportunities.
- Explore partnerships and collaborations to increase brand visibility.
- Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to drive customer footfall.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure excellent customer service standards.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and key accounts.
- Address customer concerns and ensure timely resolution.
- Collect customer feedback and recommend improvements.
- Develop customer loyalty and referral programs.
4. Showroom Operations Support
- Coordinate with showroom staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor product availability and coordinate with inventory teams.
- Ensure proper product display and visual merchandising standards.
- Maintain showroom presentation and cleanliness standards.
- Support implementation of company policies and procedures.
5. Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and coach showroom sales staff.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews.
- Identify training needs and support employee development.
- Monitor staff productivity and customer engagement.
- Foster a positive and performance-driven work environment.
6. Marketing & Promotions
- Coordinate showroom promotions and events.
- Work closely with marketing teams on campaigns and advertisements.
- Promote products through local networking activities.
- Support digital marketing initiatives and customer engagement programs.
- Analyze promotion effectiveness and provide recommendations.
7. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and market opportunities.
- Track competitor activities and pricing strategies.
- Present business performance updates to management.
- Recommend action plans for business improvement.
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Retail Management, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in Retail Sales, Business Development, or Showroom Management.
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in Kids Retail, Apparel, Toys, Baby Products, or Lifestyle Retail is preferred.
- Reports To: Managing Director
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
