Job Role:
Guidance to Engine, Transmission and Proprietary parts vendors for improving and standardization of the following processes and their controls for sustenance of Quality.
a) Casting (Aluminum & Ferrous)
b) Forging (Hot, Warm & Cold)
c) Machining (Turning, Milling, Grinding etc.)
d) Assembly
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree - with 3 to 5 years of experience
Diploma - with 10-11 years of experience
Job responsibilities:
1. New model Engine, Transmission and proprietary parts PFMEA
2. Weak area identification at Engine, Transmission and Proprietary Vendors and guide for solutions to improve their Systems & process through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) like Why Why or 8D
3. Knowledge of Processes to support Vendors in processes & maintenance concept i.e. Milling, Grinding, Induction Hardening, Surface Hardening, Heat Treatment & assembly operations etc. & also provide support in Jig Fixture & receiving Gauges etc.
4 Ability to set up Capable Process (SPC) for desired critical parameters.
5. Ability to set up processes with required automation, Auto Inspection, Poka Yoke etc. 6. Knowledge of GD&T & ability to check parts through First Principle.
7.Discussion & review meetings with vendor Top management.
8. Handling of Quality Management System e.g. ISO, IATF.
Competencies / Skills:
1. Basic Knowledge and Hands on experience of Engine, Transmission and Proprietary Parts
2. Experience in development of Engine, Transmission and Proprietary parts & awareness of development systems like APQP, PPAP, Peak Volume Trials etc.
3. Should be capable of identifying gaps in Fixtures, Gauges & Dies.
4. Knowledge of QMS system eg.- ISO, IATF
5. Additional Skills:
- Good Analytical and data compilation ability.
- Good presentation and communication skills.
- Participated & involved in theme-based Quality improvement activities
- Ability to work as a team.
