Min Experience - 3 years in 3D printing Technology especially FFF, CAD-CAM
About us
Divide By Zero Technologies builds industrial 3D printers in Navi Mumbai. Not imports, not rebadged machines — we design the motion system, the extruder, the firmware and the control electronics ourselves, and we manufacture them here.
Twelve years in. Over 1,300 machines installed across defence, aerospace, automotive, medical and education customers. Our AFPM (Adaptive Flow-Pressure Modulation) technology is patented in India and the USA, and it produces interlayer bond strength that measures well above published industry ceilings for FFF printing. We also run our own print services bureau, so we make parts for customers as well as sell them the machines to make their own.
What the role actually is
A customer sends you a part. Maybe it is a checking fixture they machine from aluminium for ₹18,000 a piece with a four-week lead time. Your job is to open that file, understand what the part actually has to do, and work out whether we can print it for ₹2,000 in two days without losing anything that matters.
Then you prove it. You redesign it for additive, you print it on a Quantum Pro 500, you put the real part in the customer's hands, and you show them the cost sheet that backs up the claim.
That is the job. Half engineering, half commercial, and the two are not separable. You will spend your week between CAD, the print floor, and customer sites across Mumbai, Pune and the wider West India belt.
We are being direct about one thing: this is not an order-taking sales job with a price list. If you do not enjoy pulling a part apart to find out where its cost is hiding, you will not enjoy this.
What you will do
- Qualify incoming enquiries — understand the application, the part, the material requirement, the volume and what it costs them today
- Analyse customer parts in CAD and recommend design changes for additive: wall thickness, ribbing, orientation, support strategy, part consolidation
- Build the cost comparison — their current route versus ours, across material, machine time, tooling, labour and lead time — and defend the number
- Print benchmark samples on our machines and get them into the customer's hands inside five working days
- Run machine demonstrations at our Navi Mumbai facility and at customer sites
- Prepare technical quotations for machines and for print services
- Handle the hard technical questions — layer strength, dimensional accuracy, material certification, how we compare to imported machines
- Support installation, first-print handover and operator training
- Go back to installed accounts and find the next application
- Keep the CRM honest and the weekly funnel accurate
What we need from you
Must have
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or Automobile Engineering
- 1–2 years in application engineering, technical sales, pre-sales, design engineering or manufacturing engineering
- Working proficiency in a parametric CAD package — SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo, CATIA, Inventor or NX. You should be able to model, edit and repair geometry, not just view it
- Ability to read a 2D manufacturing drawing properly — GD&T, tolerances, surface finish, datums
- Value engineering instinct. You understand what makes a part expensive — material, machine hours, labour, post-processing, scrap — and you can separate the function a part must deliver from the way it happens to be made today
- Comfortable in English, Hindi and Marathi with shop-floor engineers and purchase managers alike
- Based in or willing to relocate to Navi Mumbai, and able to travel to customer sites
Nice to have
- Hands-on with an FFF slicer — Simplify3D, Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio
- Familiarity with engineering polymers and composites — PLA-CF, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA6-CF, PC, PEEK, ULTEM
- Exposure to jigs, fixtures, gauges, EOAT or low-volume production parts
- Experience at a 3D printing bureau, CAD/CAM reseller, tooling supplier or a manufacturing job shop
If you are a fresher with a genuinely strong additive manufacturing project portfolio and a commercial head on your shoulders, apply anyway and tell us why.
Why this is a good place to do this work
- You are selling a machine your own colleagues designed and built two rooms away. When a customer asks a hard question, you can walk over and get the real answer
- Patented technology with published tensile data behind it, so your technical claims are defensible rather than marketing copy
- Direct access to the founder and the engineering team. Small company, short decision chains, no layers to push an idea through
- Every application you solve becomes part of our library — your work compounds
- Real career path into senior applications, key account management or product management as the company scales
