Job description
The Sports Teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting physical education programs, sports activities, and inter-house/ inter-school competitions. The candidate should be enthusiastic about promoting fitness, teamwork, and discipline among students. The teacher must set discipline standards and lead by example.
Skills & Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of the rules, techniques, and coaching methods for major sports such as Cricket, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Badminton, Athletics, and Kho-Kho.
- Should have represented at least the State level in one or more sports disciplines.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi communication (spoken and written).
- Ability to maintain discipline, motivate students, and act as the Discipline In-Charge .
- Must be respectful and professional in dealing with the school management, colleagues, and parents, and follow institutional protocols.
- Should be proactive in organizing annual sports events, fitness programs, and daily physical education routines.
- Provide Sports lessons to the Hostel students. As these are the students who take the school ahead in Sports Events.
Academic Qualification:
- Minimum Graduate degree with B.P.Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education) or equivalent qualification. Applicants should only apply if degree certificate has been received. M.P.Ed (Masters of Physical Education) will be preferred.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience as a PET or Sports Instructor in a recognized school (fresh candidates with excellent sports background may also be considered).
