Job Description – Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by generating new sales opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets. The role involves handling domestic and international customers, managing the complete sales cycle from inquiry to order closure, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring effective CRM management.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales
- Generate new business opportunities and acquire potential customers in domestic and international markets.
- Identify and develop new markets, distributors, and strategic business partnerships.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize business growth.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Manage key customer accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and requirements in a professional manner.
- Support customer retention and account expansion initiatives.
Sales Operations
- Manage inquiries, RFQs (Request for Quotations), quotations, and price negotiations.
- Follow up on leads, samples, quotations, and ongoing business opportunities.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and ensure timely closure of opportunities.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence reports.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate customer data and opportunity records in the CRM system.
- Monitor sales performance and forecast future business opportunities.
- Ensure complete CRM compliance and timely reporting.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Export, Production, Quality Assurance, and Accounts teams for smooth order execution.
- Ensure timely delivery, documentation, and customer communication throughout the order process.
- Collaborate internally to resolve customer concerns and improve service quality.
Market Development
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Identify emerging industry trends and business opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in:
- Herbal Extracts
- Nutraceutical Ingredients
- Pharmaceuticals
- Food Ingredients
- Specialty Chemicals or related industries.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in customer acquisition and account management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets in a fast-paced environment.
