Job Summary
N.R. Engineering Industries is hiring an assertive, process-driven Quality Engineer to take complete ownership of our shop floor quality metrics, calibration compliance, and customer delivery standards.
We operate a strict, high-performance manufacturing facility governed by our Performance-Linked Reward Framework 2026. We need an individual who will not compromise on rejection limits, component accuracy, or standard operating procedures (SOPs), regardless of production timeline pressures.
Key Responsibilities
- In-Process & Final Inspection: Monitor and audit on-line production quality, component tolerances, and final product dimensions using precision instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges).
- Rejection & Scrap Control: Ruthlessly track hourly component rejection rates per line. Identify root causes of defects and implement immediate corrective actions (CAPA) with production incharges.
- Framework Audit: Personally manage the "Quality & Rejection Rates" pillar of the company's 100-Point Appraisal Matrix, logging data accurately for monthly management reviews.
- Full Shift Optimization: Enforce the rule that all machinery and inspection benches must run continuously until 10 minutes before the shift ends for safe 5S maintenance.
- Supplier & Customer Quality: Handle supplier raw material verification and maintain documentation for external customer quality audits.
- Calibration & ISO Records: Maintain calibration logs for all factory instruments and ensure zero errors in QMS / ISO documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Experience: 4+ years of core quality inspection experience in a structured machine shop or casting facility.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), 5S, Pareto charts, root-cause analysis, and reading complex engineering drawings.
- Key Attributes: High emotional resilience, uncompromised professional integrity, and the ability to hold production line-incharges accountable to quality metrics without bowing to floor friction.
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
