AutoCAD Operator
Job Summary
The AutoCAD Operator is responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD software. The role involves working closely with engineers, architects, surveyors, and project managers to produce accurate drawings that comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Develop detailed engineering, architectural, structural, or civil drawings based on design inputs.
- Revise drawings according to engineers' comments and client requirements.
- Convert hand sketches, survey data, and PDF drawings into AutoCAD formats.
- Prepare layout plans, sections, elevations, and detailed construction drawings.
- Maintain drawing records, revisions, and document control procedures.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, survey teams, and project personnel for drawing updates.
- Perform quantity calculations and basic drafting-related measurements when required.
- Organise and maintain digital drawing files and project documentation.
- Assist in preparing presentation drawings, reports, and plotting documents.
- Support site engineers by updating drawings based on field conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification or training in AutoCAD is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and basic 3D).
- Knowledge of engineering and construction drawing standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of surveying data and coordinate systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Operator in civil, structural, railway, highway, or infrastructure projects.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
