We are looking for a skilled and responsible Computer Installation Technician to install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. The ideal candidate should have basic networking knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide technical support at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT devices.
- Assemble and set up new computer systems.
- Install and update operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
- Configure LAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
- Install and manage antivirus software and security updates.
- Set up peripherals such as keyboards, monitors, webcams, and projectors.
- Maintain installation reports and service records.
- Provide onsite technical support and customer assistance.
- Ensure timely completion of installation and service work.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking.
- Experience with printer and peripheral installation.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to customer sites when required.
Qualifications:
- ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant experience in computer installation and technical support is an advantage.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with LAN cabling and router configuration.
- Knowledge of CCTV, biometric devices, or attendance systems.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and system security.
