Job Summary
We are looking for a Safety Officer with core manufacturing experience. Candidates must have hands-on experience in Automotive or Sheet Metal Manufacturing. Applicants from construction, infrastructure, consultancy, or non-manufacturing industries will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, EHS regulations, and statutory safety requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, workplace risk assessments, and hazard identification.
- Ensure implementation of safe work practices on the shop floor.
- Conduct employee safety induction, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
- Monitor PPE compliance and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement CAPA.
- Maintain statutory records, permits, legal registers, and safety documentation.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, mock drills, fire safety, and first-aid activities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, customer requirements, and company EHS standards.
- Drive safety improvement initiatives, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, HR, and EHS teams to maintain a safe workplace.
Mandatory Skills
Core Manufacturing Safety Experience
Automotive / Sheet Metal Manufacturing Experience (Highly Preferred)
