Job Description Position: Primary Teacher – Mathematics (Grade IV) & STEM Teacher (Grade VI)

Key Responsibilities
Mathematics – Grade IV
- Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons in accordance with the State Board syllabus.
- Develop students' conceptual understanding of numbers, operations, geometry, measurement, fractions, and problem-solving.
- Use interactive teaching strategies, manipulatives, games, and real-life applications to make learning enjoyable.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and remedial support where required.
- Maintain student records, assessment data, and academic documentation.
STEM – Grade VI
- Design and conduct hands-on STEM lessons integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics concepts.
- Encourage inquiry-based, project-based, and experiential learning.
- Organize experiments, model-making, coding basics (where applicable), robotics or innovation activities based on school resources.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Guide students in STEM exhibitions, science fairs, and inter-school competitions.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Promote discipline, values, and responsible behaviour among students.
- Integrate digital tools and teaching aids to enhance learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings, staff meetings, training programmes, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school's academic goals.
- Perform examination duties and other responsibilities assigned by the school administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Science, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Preference will be given to candidates with STEM education or activity-based teaching experience.
- Knowledge of the Maharashtra State Board curriculum is desirable.
