The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing retail and distributor networks, and expanding market presence within the assigned territory in the jewellery segment. The role requires strong market knowledge, relationship management skills, and the ability to meet sales targets in a competitive luxury retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, and channel partners
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the dealer/retail network
- Monitor stock levels, product movement, and replenishment across stores
- Ensure proper visual merchandising and brand representation at retail outlets
- Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities and customer trends
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to enhance performance
- Coordinate with marketing for promotions, campaigns, and in-store activities
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy credit control
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 5–8 years of sales experience, preferably in jewellery, luxury retail, or FMCG
- Strong understanding of retail sales and distribution management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
