Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automation Test Engineer to support Quality Engineering initiatives for Insurance applications, primarily focused on the Annuities and Pension domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong automation testing expertise, a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, and experience validating complex business workflows within policy administration and servicing systems.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions, executing functional and regression testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to develop comprehensive test strategy and Test Plan.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Create reusable automation components and contribute to framework enhancements.
- Validate Insurance business processes, workflows, calculations, and integrations.
- Execute test cases, analyze results, and report defects with clear documentation.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other QA team members to ensure complete test coverage.
- Support CI/CD implementation and continuous testing practices.
- Prepare and publish test execution reports, quality metrics, and automation dashboards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation optimization.
- Mentor junior team members and promote Quality Engineering best practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must-Have Skills:
Automation Testing
- Strong experience in automation testing using Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
- Experience in API testing and automation using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Understanding test automation design patterns and best practices.
Functional Testing
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and End-to-End testing.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or ALM test management tools.
Insurance Domain
- Hands-on experience in Insurance applications, preferably Annuities, Retirement, or Pension products.
- Understanding of policy administration and servicing processes.
- Strong Knowledge of New Business Processing, Policy Issuance, Premium Processing, Withdrawals, Surrenders, Claims, Benefit Payments, and Retirement Processing.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Accessibility Testing and Performance Testing.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot.
