We are seeking a dedicated Cable & Wire Harness Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the production, assembly, and quality assurance of cable and wire harnesses. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient manufacturing processes, adherence to industry standards, and support the team in delivering high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the manufacturing processes for cable and wire harness assemblies.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
- Select appropriate cables, connectors, terminals, sleeves, and ensure proper crimping & soldering processes.
- Set up workstations, tools, jigs, and optimize assembly lines for efficient production.
- Conduct in-process inspections & final quality checks to ensure compliance with customer and IPC/UL standards.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and QA teams to resolve technical or supply issues.
- Train and guide technicians/operators on assembly & quality requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma / BE in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in cable / wire harness manufacturing or related field.
- Knowledge of harness design standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620 preferred).
- Familiarity with crimping tools, soldering, continuity testers & insulation resistance tests.
- Ability to read wiring schematics, layout diagrams, and interpret customer specifications.
