Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Store Helper to support the day-to-day operations of the Stores department. The ideal candidate should have experience in material handling, inventory support, goods receipt, storage, packing, and dispatch activities in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Receipt & Storage
- Assist in receiving incoming materials, components, and consumables from vendors.
- Verify received materials against delivery challans, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Unload, label, and store materials in designated storage locations.
- Ensure proper handling of fragile, precision, and engineering components.
Material Issue & Dispatch
- Issue materials to Production, Quality, and other departments as per approved material requisitions.
- Assist in packing, labeling, and dispatch of finished goods and customer shipments.
- Coordinate with logistics and courier partners for timely dispatch.
Inventory Support
- Assist in maintaining stock levels and organizing materials systematically.
- Support periodic stock verification and physical inventory counts.
- Report shortages, excess stock, damaged materials, or discrepancies to the Store In-Charge.
- Help maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) practices wherever applicable.
Documentation
- Maintain records of material receipts, issues, and stock movements.
- Assist in updating stock registers, ERP systems, or Excel inventory sheets.
- File delivery challans, invoices, material issue slips, and other store-related documents.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and 5S standards in the store area.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of materials.
- Follow company safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Support urgent material movements to avoid production delays.
Qualifications
- PUC / ITI / Diploma (Technical qualification preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, or Inventory operations in a manufacturing or engineering company.
