Key Responsibilities: (RTFI)
- Interpret radiographic films/images to identify and classify discontinuities or defects
(e.g., porosity, cracks, inclusions, lack of fusion).
- Evaluate radiographs per applicable standards (ASME).
- Ensure all radiographic results are properly documented and traceable.
- Verify that radiographic quality meets minimum sensitivity, density, and IQI (image
quality indicator) requirements.
- Prepare and maintain interpretation records, reports, and logs.
- Work closely with RT operators and resolve any quality or technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations regarding radiographic testing.
- Participate in audits, internal quality reviews, and client inspections when required.
- Assist in training and mentoring Level I personnel.
- Communicate eƯectively with production, welding, and QA/QC teams to relay findings
and recommendations.
Salary: upto 35,000 INR per month
Required Qualifications: (RTFI)
- Certification in Radiographic Testing Level II (RT Level II) as per ASNT SNT-TC-1A, OR
PCN OR ISO 9712, or equivalent.
- Specific RTFI endorsement, if applicable to organization/client requirement.
- Minimum two years of experience in interpreting industrial radiographs.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME Section V, Section-I, Section
VIII Div-1.
- Strong understanding of film characteristics, processing methods, and defect
characterization.
- Proficiency in reading weld maps, isometrics, and technical drawings.
Preferred Skills: (RTFI)
- Familiarity with digital radiography (DR/CR) systems.
- Good analytical and visual acuity for interpreting high-density images.
- Basic knowledge of other NDT methods is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
- Computer literacy for documentation and report generation.
