About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer at GrowthNXT, you will architect and build the scalable systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure powering production products. You will focus on backend services, distributed architectures, APIs, databases, security, and cloud infrastructure while ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance at production scale. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with AI and frontend teams to support evolving product capabilities. Your ownership will include high-performance microservices, reliable data pipelines, observability, secure authentication systems, and infrastructure capable of growing with the business.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable backend architectures and distributed systems.
- Build reliable data pipelines and backend services.
- Design secure authentication and authorization systems.
- Lead architectural decisions and mentor engineering teams.
- Collaborate with AI and frontend teams to support evolving product capabilities.
- Develop high-performance APIs and microservices.
- Optimize databases, caching, and query performance.
- Improve system reliability through monitoring and observability.
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and maintainability across services.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs.
- Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience with Cyber-Security and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Docker and Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with Redis and distributed caching.
- Experience implementing observability using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- Understanding of security best practices and API protection.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Knowledge of serverless architectures where appropriate.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate stays current with distributed systems, cloud, and SRE practices and has a strong bias toward operational excellence, observability, and long-term maintainability. You should be capable of understanding product vision and designing platforms that enable it, learn new tools and technologies rapidly, comfortably mentor others and lead architectural decisions, and communicate effectively across AI, frontend, and product teams.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
