Job Title: Site Engineer – Solar Projects (Ground Mounted)
Location: Nagpur
Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Engineer to manage and execute ground-mounted solar PV projects across Nagpur and Raipur. The role involves overseeing on-site activities, ensuring adherence to design, safety, and quality standards, and supporting timely project completion from installation to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute day-to-day site activities for ground-mounted solar PV projects.
- Conduct site readiness assessments and coordinate availability of materials, manpower, and equipment.
- Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Oversee civil, electrical, and mechanical aspects of solar project installation.
- Interpret and review electrical and civil drawings for accurate implementation.
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning activities under the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Maintain daily progress reports, site logs, and work completion records.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Monitor productivity, resource utilization, and work progress at site.
- Identify and report technical or execution issues and support timely resolution.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety (HSE) and quality control procedures at site.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience in execution of ground-mounted solar PV projects.
- Strong understanding of solar installation practices across civil, electrical, and mechanical domains.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with PV design and simulation tools such as PVsyst or equivalent.
- Strong site management, supervision, and coordination skills.
- Good communication and reporting abilities.
- Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Certification in Solar PV Installation / Safety (preferred).
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in solar project execution (ground-mounted preferred).
- Proven experience in handling contractors and on-site teams.
- Willingness to travel across multiple project sites.
- Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and discipline.
- Candidates based in or near Nagpur or willing to relocate preferred.
- Immediate joiner preferred
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
