Job Overview:
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for used and refurbished products across the assigned market. The role involves building market presence, establishing relationships with customers and channel partners, understanding market requirements, and coordinating with internal teams to support business growth.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in the used, refurbished, pre-owned, second-hand, value-focused, or mass-market product sector. You should be comfortable interacting with customers, dealers, retailers, institutions, and other business partners. Hindi-speaking candidates are welcome; English proficiency is not mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for used and refurbished products in the assigned territory.
- Conduct market visits and research to understand customer needs, product demand, local pricing, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with prospective and existing customers and business partners.
- Understand customer requirements, budgets, preferred specifications, and timelines, and coordinate internally to identify suitable product options.
- Clearly communicate product specifications, condition, usage history where applicable, availability, warranty or service terms, and related information.
- Coordinate with inventory, operations, service, logistics, finance, and customer-support teams to ensure accurate information and smooth fulfilment of customer or partner requirements.
- Support the development of market plans, territory priorities, partner engagement activities, and local business initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of market visits, partner interactions, customer requirements, opportunities, product enquiries, and follow-up actions.
- Collect and share customer, partner, and market feedback to help improve product availability, processes, service quality, and market positioning.
- Prepare regular activity updates and reports for the reporting manager, including market observations, partner status, opportunities, and challenges.
- Participate in exhibitions, dealer meets, networking events, local promotional activities, and other business development initiatives as required.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams to support a smooth customer experience before and after product fulfilment.
- Be willing to travel within the assigned territory for market visits, partner meetings, and other business development activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of proven, hands-on experience in hardcore product sales, preferably involving direct B2B sales, client acquisition, lead generation, and closing deals. Candidates with primarily business development, partnerships, channel development, distribution, or retail operations experience without substantial product sales experience will not be considered.
- Strong experience in direct product sales is essential, with a proven ability to independently drive sales through cold calling, cold visits, planned sales visits, client meetings, lead generation, follow-ups, negotiations, and deal closures.
- Strong local market understanding and the ability to build long-term relationships with dealers, retailers, institutions, and business partners.
- Good communication, interpersonal, coordination, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Hindi-speaking ability is sufficient for this role; English communication is not mandatory.
- Candidates preferred - particularly those comfortable with field visits, local travel, and frequent customer or partner interactions.
- Self-motivated, energetic, organised, persistent, and comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple conversations, requirements, follow-ups, and internal coordination activities in a timely manner.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
