Job Summary
The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for overseeing the smooth day-to-day operations of the organization during assigned shifts. The MOD acts as the primary point of contact for staff, customers/patients, visitors, and management, ensuring efficient operations, excellent service standards, quick problem resolution, and adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Supervise daily operational activities during the shift.
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance.
- Handle escalations and operational issues immediately.
- Ensure cleanliness, discipline, and professional environment standards.
Staff Supervision
- Guide and support employees during duty hours.
- Conduct briefings and shift handovers.
- Resolve staff conflicts or concerns professionally.
- Ensure proper staffing and duty allocation.
Customer/Patient Service
- Handle customer/patient complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure high standards of service and hospitality.
- Support front office/reception during peak hours.
- Maintain positive client/patient relationships.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare daily reports and incident reports.
- Monitor inventory or operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with HR, maintenance, housekeeping, and security teams.
Emergency Handling
- Respond promptly to emergencies or critical situations.
- Escalate serious incidents to senior management.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Administration, Hospitality, Healthcare, or related field.

Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years in supervisory or managerial roles.
- Experience in hospitals, hotels, retail, or corporate operations is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts may be required.
- Ability to handle pressure and emergencies calmly.
- Weekend or holiday duty may be applicable.
