Position Summary
Mind & Brain Hospital is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist will work closely with psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support patients in achieving optimal communication and functional outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Diagnosis
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Evaluate patients with psychiatric, neurological, developmental, and neurodegenerative conditions.
- Identify communication and swallowing difficulties through standardized and clinical assessment methods.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports and treatment recommendations.
Treatment & Rehabilitation
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
- Address disorders related to:
- Speech articulation and phonology
- Language comprehension and expression
- Voice and resonance
- Fluency (stammering/stuttering)
- Cognitive-communication deficits
- Social communication skills
- Dysphagia (swallowing disorders)
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
Patient & Family Education
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
- Provide home programs and therapeutic strategies for continued rehabilitation.
- Counsel families on supporting communication development and recovery.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Document assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Prepare periodic reports on patient outcomes and rehabilitation progress.
- Ensure compliance with hospital documentation standards.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing staff, and social workers.
- Participate in case conferences, ward rounds, and treatment planning meetings.
- Contribute to holistic patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.
Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to professional ethics, clinical guidelines, and hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and departmental activities.
- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain therapy materials and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BASLP) or Master's Degree (MASLP) in Speech Language Pathology / Audiology from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the relevant Rehabilitation Council or professional body as applicable.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, neuro-rehabilitation, or mental health setting preferred.
- Freshers with strong clinical training may also be considered.
Skills Required

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
