Job Summary
We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Engineer – ASRS Service to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) at customer locations.
The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, the ability to understand technical drawings and equipment manuals, and a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving equipment-related issues. The candidate will work closely with customers, project teams, and internal engineering teams to ensure reliable and efficient operation of ASRS systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, test, and service ASRS equipment and automated material handling systems at customer locations.
- Study and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical manuals.
- Carry out equipment inspection, testing, alignment, calibration, and functional checks during installation and commissioning.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, sensor, control, and automation-related issues in ASRS systems.
- Attend breakdown calls and ensure timely resolution of equipment failures and technical issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of ASRS equipment.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend suitable corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Project, Design, Electrical, Automation, and Service teams for effective issue resolution.
- Interact with customers and provide technical support regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct customer training on ASRS operation, safety procedures, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain service reports, installation reports, commissioning records, checklists, and other technical documentation.
- Ensure all service and installation activities are completed as per quality, safety, and company standards.
- Maintain proper tools, equipment, spares, and service materials required for site activities.
- Support the team in improving machine availability, reliability, and service response time.
- Travel extensively to customer locations based on project and service requirements.
- Work during extended hours, holidays, or weekends when required for breakdowns, commissioning, or project completion.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of industrial machinery, automation systems, or material handling equipment.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Basic understanding of PLC, sensors, motors, drives, control panels, and automation systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and preparation of service reports.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites and coordinate effectively with internal teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively for installation and service activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 1–5 years of experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, or field service of industrial machinery / automation systems.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and willingness to work in field service may also be considered.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
