Job Summary
EIG Overseas is looking for an experienced, result-oriented Senior Student Counselor to join our team in a remote position.
The candidate must have excellent spoken communication skills in both Hindi and English, as the role involves regular interaction with students and parents from different regions.
The candidate will be responsible for counseling students regarding overseas education opportunities, helping them select suitable courses and universities, handling admission-related inquiries, following up with leads, and supporting students throughout their study abroad journey.
Fluency and confidence in speaking both Hindi and English are mandatory for this position.
Responsibilities
- Counsel students regarding overseas education opportunities, courses, universities, and career options.
- Guide students in selecting suitable universities, colleges, and academic programs.
- Handle student inquiries, leads, follow-ups, and admission procedures professionally.
- Communicate confidently with students and parents in Hindi and English through phone calls, WhatsApp, and online meetings.
- Conduct online counseling sessions and explain study abroad opportunities clearly.
- Provide accurate information regarding admission requirements, visa procedures, scholarships, and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students and parents through regular follow-ups.
- Convert potential leads into registrations and admissions.
- Achieve counseling, registration, and admission targets assigned by the company.
- Coordinate remotely with admissions, documentation, and processing teams for smooth application handling.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, inquiries, follow-ups, registrations, and student information in the company CRM.
- Attend online team meetings and provide regular updates regarding leads and conversions.
Requirements
- Excellent spoken Hindi and English – Mandatory.
- Must be fluent, confident, and professional while communicating in both Hindi and English.
- Good written communication skills in English.
- Ability to confidently counsel and interact with students and parents over phone calls and online meetings.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in study abroad counseling or a related field.
- Strong counseling, interpersonal, negotiation, and convincing skills.
- Good knowledge of international education, university admissions, and study abroad processes.
- Strong lead follow-up and conversion skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a target-oriented remote environment.
- Professional attitude and strong team-working skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have a laptop/desktop, reliable high-speed internet connection, and suitable work-from-home setup.
- Malayalam communication skills will be an added advantage.
