Civil Engineering Draftsman / CAD Draftsman
Job Purpose
To prepare accurate and professional 2D/3D drawings, building plans, approval drawings, working drawings and construction drawings based on architectural and engineering requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare building plans, elevations, sections and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare drawings for CMDA / DTCP / Corporation / Local Body approval as required.
- Convert sketches, measurements and design concepts into accurate CAD drawings.
- Prepare working drawings for construction, including:
- Foundation plans
- Column and beam layouts
- Slab plans
- Staircase details
- Door and window schedules
- Electrical and plumbing layouts
- Make revisions based on engineer/architect/client instructions.
- Check dimensions, levels, setbacks, FAR/FSI and other drawing requirements.
- Coordinate drawings with engineers, architects and site staff.
- Prepare drawings based on site measurements and existing building conditions.
- Maintain proper drawing files, revisions and project records.
- Support preparation of documents required for building approval applications.
- Visit construction sites when required to verify dimensions and drawing requirements.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Knowledge of building planning and construction drawings.
- Understanding of basic civil engineering and building construction.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
- Good understanding of dimensions, scales, levels and setbacks.
- Knowledge of SketchUp / Revit / 3D software will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Tamil Nadu building approval procedures is preferred.
Qualification
Diploma / ITI / Certificate in Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting or equivalent.
Experience
1–5 years of relevant experience preferred. Freshers with good AutoCAD skills may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
