Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and communication-skilled Career Advisor to guide candidates through the US job market and help them secure IT opportunities with our clients and vendor network. The ideal candidate should be confident in candidate handling, career counseling, sales communication, and US staffing processes.
The Career Advisor will work closely with candidates to understand their background, optimize their job search approach, explain our services, coordinate with recruiters, and maintain strong follow-ups throughout the placement journey.
This role is performance-driven and best suited for someone who enjoys counseling, recruitment, relationship building, and target-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one consultation calls with candidates
- Understand candidate experience, technical skills, visa status, and career goals
- Guide candidates regarding suitable IT opportunities in the US market
- Explain company services including resume marketing, placement support, and interview preparation
- Convert interested candidates into enrollments/clients
- Build long-term professional relationships with candidates
- Coordinate with recruiters, vendors, and internal teams for interview scheduling and follow-ups
- Maintain candidate records and pipeline tracking in CRM/ATS systems
- Assist candidates with resume improvement and LinkedIn optimization
- Educate candidates on US hiring processes, work authorizations, tax terms, and interview expectations
- Ensure proper follow-up until interview, placement, and onboarding stages
- Meet weekly/monthly targets related to enrollments and candidate engagement
- Stay updated with US IT market trends and hiring demands
Required Skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Strong convincing and counseling abilities
- Good understanding of US staffing/recruitment process
- Knowledge of visa types such as OPT, CPT, H1B, GC, USC, H4EAD
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, and other job portals
- Ability to work in a target-oriented environment
- Strong follow-up and relationship management skills
- Basic understanding of IT technologies and roles
- Team coordination and multitasking abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in US IT Staffing / Bench Sales / Career Counseling / Recruitment
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, IT, or related field
- Experience handling international candidates is a plus
